Working with Lucy and Francis has always been a pleasure for Bob and this year he decided to take it beyond teaching. The idea to write a play for the school and its students emerged in Bob's mind and The Ghost of Graves End came to light.
Bob presents the public with a winter ghost story. Inspired by the church where our lessons take place as well as The 39 Steps rewritten by Patrick Barlow and The woman in black, The Ghost of Graves End takes you on a comedic and scary journey. A great Christmas alternative to the classic panto, the play is designed to make you laugh and tremble with fear at the same time.
This project is a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience the workings of play writing as well as learning what it takes to bring new work to life. Entirely cast in-house amongst students attending our courses, the actors will be selected through a professional audition process to prepare them for future endeavours. All this hard work will culminate in a performance of The Ghost of Graves End on the 30th of November, 1st and 2nd of December 2023 at Storyhouse in Chester.
We are incredibly grateful to have been given such a fantastic opportunity and cannot wait to see you enjoy the fruits of our labour!
Stay tuned for the ticket release!
